Installation 102: How to install WordPress using cPanel and Fantastico
Once you've purchased hosting, install WordPress quickly and easily using the Fantastico tool in the cPanel control panel. 16 minutes

- Your web host account login information.

I followed the steps in the fantastico set up just as you did in your instructional video. When I go to admin or to the blog all I find is an index of all the files. I cannot get the log in screen to come up or the blog itself. Can you give me any suggestions as to what the problem might be?

Hi, Dave—it sounds like your host might not recognize “index.php” as it should. This could be for several reasons. If you are willing to share the URL where your blog should be, I’ll take a look and tell you if anything jumps out at me.

cPanel and wordpress are truely powerful tools for our websites.
I set my sites up now and get them indexed by Google and MSN with in the first 24 to 48 hours. It has been happening a lot quicker lately.. NICE!
